NATIONAL CENTRE FOR DISEASE CONTROL RECEIVES TELECONFERENCING FACILITIES FROM VICTIMS SUPPORT FUND

The VSF Covid-19 Taskforce on June 1st 2020 equipped the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) with state-of-the-art video teleconferencing and surveillance facilities.  VSF provided, installed and trained NCDC personnel on the interface of the video conferencing facilities at the NCDC headquarters in Abuja.

The state-of-the-art teleconferencing devices valued at N31 million will strengthen the National Healthcare Response, Strategic Communications, Virtual Trainings and Data Management.  The newly equipped teleconferencing rooms will be used to facilitate the coordination of response activities across state emergency operations centres in Nigeria.

The VSF Taskforce on COVID 19 has implemented interventions that include the distribution of food, personal protective equipment, medical consumables and hygiene products across States in the North-East, South-West, South-East, South-South and FCT.
